As the 2018-2019 school year winds to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to that everyone who volunteered.  We had a really successful year and would not have been able to accomplish all that we did without the support of our administration, teachers, and parents.

 

Speaking of success, let's take a minute to talk about what we did.  First, we set out to cut down on all the fundraising efforts by having 1 main fundraiser--our first-ever Boosterthon Fun Run.  It was wildly successful on so many levels and supported the school's wellness campaign.  Children were so excited to come to school each day, participate in daily challenges, make new friends, and cheer each other on during the day of the FunRun.  We exceeded our fundraising goals as a result and were able to keep our promise of eliminating all the smaller fundraisers.

 

What happened with the money we raised?

 

• new books for 3rd grade

• special seating for the classes

• new benches and tables for the playground

• educational programming events including Tang Math 

• a visiting author for the 2019-20 school year

• extra field trips

• fully funded Family events (Winter Carnival)

• and so much more

 

    PTA is the oldest and largest child advocacy organization in America, with an incredible history of benefiting children. PTA is directly responsible for affordable hot school lunch programs, meaningful kindergarten education, bus safety, child labor laws, e-cigarette legislation, and much, much more. The power of the PTA comes from members like you. The more members we have means the louder our voice is and the more likely it is that kids and education are front and center in legislators’ minds.

 

    Thank you so much for all your support and help this year.  We coudn't have done it without you!  Your continued support through membership and volunteerism helps everyone, especially your children.  We have loved being part of this school and your co-Presidents for this year.  Enjoy your summer and mark your calendars for our next Boosterthon Fun Run kicking off on September 25 with the run on October 4, 2019!
